Draw Fire

Draw Fire has you drawing four shapes with points. The shapes will improve your firepower against endless enemies. It's your turn to rack up the greatest score in marathon, two-minute and five-minute modes!

"Initially, Adam Starling came up with the concept of a flash game where the player controls a fleet of ships using a series of user-drawn shapes (i.e. gestures). The gestures would be necessary to defeat a series of enemies and bosses. The concept was tossed around back and forth between Adam, Gino Lomelino, and myself; and a gesture-based shooter was conceptualized. I am glad to see Marc Marta's team reimagine the idea and create a unique game like DrawFire." - Joel Kemp

"It started as a unique shmup called 'Gesture', a game in which the player would control a fleet of ships using 'gestures' created with the mouse. Unfortunately, this project was abandoned by its developers, early in its creation. Luckily however shortly after the project was scrapped, I sent Marc a little sprite I whipped up that I thought he might want to use in a game. This sprite inspired Marc to return to the 'gesture' concept and change the name to Draw Fire. Everyone on the team put loads of work into this game and I sincerely hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it." - Andrew Hudson

"When Joel gave us the project, I was gonna put it on the shelf. When Andrew came to me with some sprites he developed just for the fun of it, we changed the concept a little, and started a little work. Through a little dev hell, we were happy with the final result." - Marc Marta
